Transmission of values from MSB to ESA — MSB view
The MSB transmits the ordered values (from the back-end system or directly from the iMS) to the ESA. When transmitting values at market location level:
- The transmission of values takes place from the MSB of the market location to ESA. For the transmission of values at metering location level:
- The transmission of values takes place from the MSB of the metering location to ESA. For the transmission of values at grid location level:
- The transmission of values takes place from the MSB of the grid location to ESA.

Preconditions
- The MSB has accepted the order placement by the ESA for providing the transmission of values.
- In the case in which MSB transmits the values to ESA directly from iMS: The communication connection between iMS and ESA has been established initially and can be used if required.
- In the case in which the metering location is equipped with iMS: If parameterisation of the measuring equipment is necessary in order to provide the transmission of values, the parameterisation of the measuring equipment was carried out by MSB.
Results
- The MSB can invoice the transmission of values rendered via the use case „Billing of a service rendered for the ESA“.
- The MSB can invoice any expenses incurred for device parameterization for the transmission of values via the use case „Billing of a service rendered for the ESA“.

- The ordered transmission of values cannot be provided.
- The procedure in error cases is to be clarified bilaterally.

The MSB that accepted the order placement is no longer assigned to the market location/metering location/grid location at the point in time at which it has to fulfil that order.
